As I turned off the main highway toward the station this morning, I was confronted with the above. Battle between my spontaneous side and my better sense ensued, as I worried that the color would fade by the time I'd parked. My auto dash is in the shot, so clearly sense lost this time.

Mild non sequitor: I was reminded today that our personal definitions of reality, while important to how we guide and shape our lives, can also become crippling illusions. It's easy to wax philosophic about beliefs, whether religious, scientific, or otherwise. What seems more difficult is simply showing regard for the reality others experience, regardless of the system one uses to process that reality. Some might call this staying grounded. All I know is that nature, things like sunrises, do the trick for me.
