Thaw

This was the first morning in what feels like forever (but is actually only a few weeks) that we didn't have to pour boiling water over the pipes to defrost our pipes. It did feel like the weather turned a real corner today and I think, for at least part of the day, the unheated parts of our house were above freezing.

And not much else happened.

The birds are still grateful for the food, even if the weather has improved. Here's a lady chaffinch straying very close to the kitchen window.
