Every photo tells a story

Cormorants lunch.

I had to do the weekly shop at the store where they have more reasons to shop there. I noticed the Cormorants (if that is what they are) on the other sid of the old Albert Edward dock. I drove around there over the swingbridge, and noticed through the 300mm zoom lens, that this bird had caught a fish. It looked like a Roach. I took a series of shots and have edited them to explain the story. This image shows a bird who flew over from the pontoon to try and chivvy the successful bird into giving up its catch. It didn't, but I was amazed to see it swallow the fish, which gave it the fullest throat imaginable. I thought it may have been crossed with a Pelican. If you can, check out the scene on flickr. My flickr buddy name is 5strings1.
Adios.
