Song Sparrow at Willow Creek Nature Park

The weather is supposed to get nasty today, so after a nice breakfast out, we visited the Willow Creek Nature Park, about a mile from our house. Another spot I didn't know existed, until today!

I am so impressed with the Parks system in our area, as they have done such a superb job of saving the areas around the little creeks and streams and putting in walkways and paths so that people can enjoy nature right in the bustling suburbs! Willow Creek Nature Park is one of those well kept secrets!! As you enter the area via a raised path through a wetland, you can immediately sense the sound of birds and water...as you get farther in, it gets better and better. This will definately be a spot I return to again!!!
