Landegodeoy Island
This island (with it's lighthouse) marks the point at which the Hurtigruten (the Norwegian Coastal Voyage) ships swing NW after leaving Bodo, en route across Vestfjorden to the Lofoten Islands.
Earlier today we crossed the Arctic Circle, and by traditional all those crossing the line for the first time by sea are welcomed - and initiated - by King Neptune. On the Hurtigruten, the willing endure a ladle of iced water being poured down their neck. The compensation is a shot of schnaps to ward off any ill effects.
