Neolithic

I had a wonderful day today walking with Mel and Kaya on the fells above Broughton-in-Furness. We started the walk at Duddon Iron Furnace (an amazing smelting works which operated from 1736 to 1866) and passed through some incredible scenery on what was a beautiful sunny day. One of the many highlights of the walk for me was this neolithic stone circle at Swinside, thought to be one of the best in Europe.

The day was completed with a slap-up veggie moussaka at the wonderful Square Cafe in Broughton.

All in all, a fantastic weekend.
