Stonewall

I finally made it up to Ulverston today after my plans to visit my friend Mel were thwarted by snow a couple of weeks ago.

I drove over with the sun shining all the way up the M6 but as soon as I arrived the clouds got darker and more ominous and by the time we'd headed out to walk Mel's dog Kaya at Birkrigg Common the wind was up and the hail was coming down. Still, we braved the elements and enjoyed a very blustery walk. The sun even returned from time to time as you can see here. Afterwards we went for an absolutely delicious meal at The Stagger Inn in Urswick.
