Today's blip is at 'The Bridge' in St. Sampson's parish. This is Guernsey's second biggest shopping area and harbour after St Peter Port. It is known as the Bridge as there was originally a bridge at this site, linking two islands. The land between them was reclaimed in 1806 to make the island easier to defend when Napoleon threatened invasion.
