The Railway Bridge of the Silvery Tay

Work took me by train to Aberdeen today and, on the return journey, I grabbed this shot of the Tay estuary through the structure of the Tay Rail Bridge. On which subject there is no greater authority than the venerable William Topaz McGonagall, about whom Wikipedia engagingly states that he, "exhibited no recognition of or concern for his peers' opinions of his work". A vital attribute for a poet, I'd say. Stephen Boyce, this is for you!

BEAUTIFUL Railway Bridge of the Silvery Tay !
With your numerous arches and pillars in so grand array
And your central girders, which seem to the eye
To be almost towering to the sky.
The greatest wonder of the day,
And a great beautification to the River Tay,
Most beautiful to be seen,
Near by Dundee and the Magdalen Green.

Beautiful Railway Bridge of the Silvery Tay !
That has caused the Emperor of Brazil to leave
His home far away, incognito in his dress,
And view thee ere he passed along en route to Inverness

(I think that's probably enough)
