Bliptree 3? -In winter
I spotted this on my walk yesterday. It is on Shay Lane above Wilsden not very far from my original blip tree on Lee Lane. Blip tree 1
I took the original one in each season and am now photographing a sweet chestnut in the St Ives estate which has an interesting trunk here
Why this tree? I like the position of it on the rise of the hill; it too has an interesting split trunk but above all I like the way it has a broken down, millstone grit wall leading up to it. Just in front of the tree there is the remains of a large stone gate post and you can also see an old bath, partially sunken just to the left, as a watering hole for cattle. (See large)
I think this is a very Yorkshire scene. I will be back!
