Roadkill
One of the drawbacks in living out in the country, is the complete lack of road safety awareness within the animal population.
Deers are a particular problem (they really do appear out of nowhere - I've hit three so far in 11 years) but pheasants do some damage to your bumper, and explode like you've put a grenade up their arse. Rabbits and the like are just suicidal, and you rarely notice hitting stoats and weasels. Today I passed the body of a big badger - a very sad end for a proud creature.
FYI: I am an animal lover.
TOP TIP: never, ever, swerve suddenly to avoid an animal in the road - it's just not worth the risk.
