Crack Sealing

Streets in our Development are being Crack Sealed. An application of tar will prevent moisture from penetrating under the pavement and causing chuck holes. Hot tar is pumped into the cracks and then smothed with trowels. A second coat will be applied the next day. This work is done during cool weather when the cracks are furthest open.

This crew has been working for the last couple of weeks on this job. They start at 4 am.
