Saltaire Village
Had an after work meeting with colleagues tonight and blipless was glad of a spare 20mins on the way to meet them.
Thought there would be enough light and interest in Saltaire Village to blip and found this to be true.
Saltaire Village is now a World Heritage Site and is the location of a village built for the mill and the workers of the mill in the 1850s and 1860s. The philanthropist owner was Sir Titus Salt and the nearby river is the river Aire - hence Saltaire.
There is much to commend spending time here, not least the Hockneys in one of the many massive rooms.
Today's blip is of the Church - which was the sight that greeted the workers as they left the factory gates.
