Great St Martins Church, Cologne, Germany

This is one of the twelve Romanesque Churches in the city of Cologne (Koeln) Germany and is in the Innenstadt (Inner Town).

Nice on large - please use zoom facility - I haven't worked out how to insert "large" link - can anyone help with that please?

It is situated close to the River Rhein and from 1150AD until 1240AD was attached to the Benedictine monastery.

This view shows some of the beautifully colourful tall, thin German houses some of which have now been converted into small hotels and bars/restaurants.
