Carduelis carduelis

Same spot as yesterday, but a different brightly coloured finch.

This wee goldfinch seemed slightly annoyed that I had interupted his preening. They are altogether lovely birds; a small flock singing their sweet song and flashing their golden wingbars and scarlet faces as they flit about the trees, will always lift the heart :)

I saw the bullfinch pair again, a different, brighter male further up the path, a couple of chaffinches and some greenfinch. Altogether a finchful blipwander!
