The mountains I've climbed...

...in the Highlands, hoping to see one of these. Never have. Never thought I would, now that my knees are a bit too bad to go Munro bagging.
A Saturday afternoon stroll along the seafront just a short 44 Bus-ride from the flat and there they were. This male and a couple of females, bold as brass. Plectrophenax nivalis, the Snow Bunting.

Quite made my day week month :)
