An "Empty"

Well today was a milestone in terms of our process to settling up here. 5 months after this container was filled with our stuff, we finally emptied the last boxes out of it today. Now we are self contained in our flat (and garage) with our stuff. Well apart from a couple of pieces of art at my parents house. The padlock was handed back and we have freed ourselves of the cost of renting the storage!

Tonight we are looking forward to my oldest brother and his family descending upon the flat for pizza and wine/beer. A long overdue thank-you for helping us move. We had planned for this last weekend but as I was struck down with the flu we managed to re-schedule for tonight. When I was young and parents left the house for the weekend leaving the kids in charge of the house, we called it an "empty". The house was "empty" of parents and so it was party time. So we have an empty container and a party tonight! Whooooo!
