Nightjar
This Square-tailed Nightjar (Caprimulgus fossii) was one of two nightjar species observed on today's night drive. Our guide was able to creep up quietly and catch this specimen, and then described its wing patterns and other identifying features to us.
The second specie seen this evening was the Fiery-necked Nightjar (Caprimulgus pectoralis)
