Napoleon's Army

This afternoon we had a walk up to the 'Hameau du Lion' in Waterloo. Well actually it's on the outskirts, but is the central point of the Battle of Waterloo.

We had lunch at Le Bivouac de L'Empereur which is a historic taverne based on the Napoleonic era, and is full of interesting memorabilia. The original building was constructed just after the Battle of Waterloo as a hotel.

Afterwards we went to the Visitor Centre and saw this collection of Napoleons....
