Today's the day ......................... to be invaded by the French

There was no way that you could be in any doubt which team Scotland were playing at Murrayfield today. French rugby fans in various guises were everywhere to be seen on the streets of Edinburgh along with all the kilts and tartan of the Scots.

It was all very friendly though. The Auld Alliance is still going strong - and although it would have been very satisfying if Scotland had come away with a win, it was a game that had good moments for both sides ................

PS Talking of things french(!) - thank you very much for stars and hearts awarded to yesterday's frog's leg. It ended up 7th most popular - and 4th highest rated in my league table .......
