Monsoon trek - Day 1

quite an eventful day. traffic delays, waiting for the other teams, other problems - in short, the plan for Day 1 went for a toss. We had plans to reach the base camp by 3:00 PM and then start climbing up but that seemed to be distant dream in reality. With the darkness falling, rains and thick fog, we couldn't reach our base camp today. Had to park the bus somewhere on the way and spread our sleeping bags and mats under a shed. I slept in the bus though - warm and cozy :-).

So now the plan is to wake up real early (4:00 AM) in the morning, reach the base camp and start trekking asap. Tomorrow is another day.

This is the only shot I could manage on this date. This picture was clicked when we stopped for lunch. Didn't get an opportunity to take my camera out after this. It is straight out of the camera, colors/composition not edited at all (except for changing the image size)
