Argentine futbol - drums, passion and big jumpers

Back in Buenos Aires today for the very last time. A few loose ends to tie up before we fly back to Australia on Wednesday.

On the top of today's list was a futbol match and we were hoping to get an insight into how passionate the fans are and how much they live and breathe this game.

We travelled to the western suburbs of BA and the home of Velez Sarsfield who were playing a local derby against Arsenal. The sounds of the dancing and drums throughout was energetic and addictive and after a few minutes we were on our feet joining in with the rest of the Velez supporters. Even better when Velez scored 2 goals in 2 minutes and the crowd erupted.
