Balloon Festival

The Northampton Balloon Festival was not the total disaster that the weatherman promised it would be. Unlike last year's washout I was able to see some balloons (three to be exact). This is three more than last year and has to be recorded as a triumph.
We were lucky enough to catch a new world record too. Over 1200 people gathered in the arena and danced to YMCA. Apparently the old record was about 1100 people, and in order to achieve it, everybody had to get the movements correct, so anyone who did the letter 'C' on the wrong side would disqualify the whole attempt. It's been videoed and sent to the Guinness Book of Records people for ratification.

I think we may have witnessed one of the least impressive world records ever.
