Thank you fan...
Because I am loading up the previous day's blip, I should be referring to the boring, mundane events of the day in the present tense. I sometimes find it difficult to do since it happened yesterday, but since it is a diary entry, I should refer to yesterday as today. On that basis, today is tomorrow, and I should therefore be able to predict the events of tomorrow with 100% accuracy - at least up until the time I post the entry. So, armed with the gift of prediction, what can I predict will happen up to 1:00pm tomorrow? I predict that it will be cold and raining.
Wow, how uncanny is that?
The reason I'm rambling is that I'm playing for time - I have the memory of a goldfish, and I can't actually remember if anything happened yesterday (today).
I can dimly recall going to a meeting in the Midlands, and ending up at 9:30 without a blip. That was it really.
Today's shot is of the fan that stays with me in the bedroom - this is the room that I sleep in as opposed to the bedroom that I cook in.
This fan sits on the ironing board along with my loose change, unopened post, spare socks and till receipts (which have been accumulating since 2002). The ironing board never get used for ironing, and the fan, which was in constant use during the hot nights of last summer, has not been switched on this year.
The fire has though; twice.
I would like to tell the fan that it has given long and faithful service for the past few years, but now it is no longer needed. It is therefore redundant. I wish to emphasise that this is not the fault of the fan, it is the nature of current weather conditions.
May I take this opportunity to wish the fan the very best of luck for the future.
