Footprints
Didn't get to sleep until 4am this morning. Every time I almost nodded off M would start crying and that would set L of too. M had grommets put in 6 months ago after suffering with hearing loss for a year and lots of infections. This is her first ear infection in 6 months, must be some kind of record but a big reminder of how she use to suffer. Hoping it's just a minor set back and not a sign of things to come.
Before M's doc appt I had enough time to take L to messy play. A real treat today, they'd got a graffiti artist in to do some spray art on the sure start shed. All this kiddies were allowed to help. L's contribution was the light blue paw prints :-). Only set back being that the artist forgot the face masks so they had to wear a tea towel over the mouth/nose. The looked like proper rebels.
Swimming after school. E's just coming on so well. Each session I see her swim a bit further. M is gaining in confidence slowly but surely. With all her ear trouble she's built yo a real fear of getting water in them but she's learning to trust the ear plugs now. She still looks tiny and frail compared to the other kids in the group.
J's super excited this evening. His 1950's style shoes and hat have turned up for the wedding and he wants to wear them already. It's great to see a groom as enthusiastic about their outfit as the bride is. He's upstairs now, riffling through his kit.
Still, tomorrow is a feb 29th and if Lewis Hamilton says yes, J may have a spare hat and shoes available (jokes!)
