Leap Day is Meat Day

How did you spend the leap day?
February 29th is Meat Day in Japan. Do you know that?
Everyone eat meat and wear a hat made from meat, like Lady Gaga.
Because we call 2 is "ni" and 9 is "ku".
And we call meat is "niku".
So February 29th is Meat(niku) Day. LOL :)

By the way, according to an old tradition in New York on this day a woman may ask a man to marry her.
There is no customary like that in Japan.
