Lamp / Shade

Beautiful spring day - took a risk and cycled to work without a coat. Decided to explore the alleyway that is St Lawrence Little Steps in closer detail, as I was fascinated by the light, shade and shadows. Looking at the photos it almost seemed Parisian. I loved the sense of genteel decay ....

Heard a lovely description of Eve Arnold, the first woman photographer to join the Magnum agency, on the radio this morning: "she had a generosity of spirit combined with steely determination".
