Towering Indigestion
No time to look for anything of interest today, so this is a Blip of some home baking----- now demolished. Think I went a bit mad on the filling, as we had problems getting our mouths round it!
This morning was spent preparing for a visit from some friends we made when we first moved to England some 35 years ago.We lost touch with them when they moved abroad and met up with Sue again a few weeks ago, when they moved back to this area.Bryan we haven't seen for probably fifteen years.
I don't remember who met who first but I do remember we were such close friends. Our 'sixsome' would go out dancing each weekend when we were newly married , then, when the children came on the scene , the ladies would visit each other in their respective homes, for a cuppa and a natter, while our children played together. They were good times.
As you can imagine, there was lots of laughter as we recounted past times. It is one of the blessings of old friends, that you can afford to let your hair down in their presence.Their emergence as a couple today felt so natural.Though time had separated us, may be time had changed us in many ways, but our friends were still the same people we knew back then.
'I may meet new friends but I surely treasure the old.'
