The Eternal Bloomer!
Didn't go to work today, instead sitting here clock watching and waiting to go down to the surgery to see the doctor. Not my favourite pursuit!
This is a shot of our Bougainvillea plant, which we have had for many years and which seems to have become an'eternal bloomer!'Hubby and I always admired them when holidaying abroad, so I decided to buy him a small plant from the nursey many moons ago. This is the result. It never seems to get any bigger,(it now stands about three feet tall) or to develop a mass of colour but instead, we have a steady bloom from it more or less all year round. We have purchased other similar plants in different shades but none seem to have stood the test of time.
*Bougainvillea plants are actually woody vines with thorny horns, which are native to South American countries including, Brazil, Peru and Argentina. They are often referred to as desert vines and are largely grown as ornamental plants in flower gardens.
