Light as a feather...

It's difficult to realise the full extent of "Stratum", this Art Installation, from just one photo.

The entire floor area is covered with little, white, fluffy feathers, thousands...hundreds...probably billions of them.

Housed on the every top floor of Islington Mill, Salford, the brightness is a completely unexpected presence & such a stark contrast to the dark, mossy atmosphere of this attic space.

It was quite an impressive sight, I just wanted to leap into like it was a big huge feather pillow, but the little hand-written notice requested I not touch...
