As close as you can get!

What a beautiful bird! He surprised me by landing on the log when I was standing only a few feet away. I knelt down slowly (he blinked at me), I began clicking away (he filled the whole frame and I actually had to zoom out a bit in some of the photos), and he still never bothered. Must have been a hungry boy! He's totally made my day! Some other photos taken today are:
