The usual music session began the day (well, between 1:00 and 5:00). We were in Ranelagh today, in an old house on Bushy Park Road. Our host was having a bit of a bad time, with an electric kettle which began to act up just as we arrived, so water had to be heated on the stove for tea and coffee. An acting-up kettle didn't make any difference when it came to having a bottle of bubbly opened up when the music finished, all of which meant we were later than usual breaking up.
I went over to Carl's afterwards to drop off the car and to make our way in to town for a few drinks before heading on to the meal we'd booked a week ago. Having raved about La Maison restaurant after my first experience, I was naturally a bit anxious about going back with Carl. As it turned out, I had no need to be anxious, since everything was just as good as it had been the first time. Everything was great, but the undoubted highlight was our dessert which was a magnificent Orange Crêpe Soufflé. The menu hadn't mentioned anything about its being flambéed, but it was -- and at the table, with a tremendous touch of drama which made us the centre of attention for everybody else in the restaurant. Superb.
A couple of stops afterwards meant it was 2:30 am by the time we got the NiteLink.

I was early getting to Carl's neck of the woods after the music session, so stopped off at The Eagles pub in Glasthule to pass some time. Stupidly, I never thought of whipping out the camera when our crêpes were being flambéed, so it's just as well I took this quick blip of The Eagles earlier on.
