What a great view...

The Fiction: Port Appin's location in the Atlantic Gulf Stream encourages the growth of unusual plants like this Orange (sunburst) foliose lichen. Morag and Hamish (or Marion and James if you prefer it) have climbed the Lichen Tree for the great views of Lismore (island) but all she wants to do is text her friends in Coasters in Oban.

The facts: The twig is one I just found under a tree in my garden. It is of the lichen variety I mentioned above. Just look at the beauty in it! It's almost porcelain-like, I'm just amazed at it. If it wasn't for Blipping I might never have noticed it. Thanks Pat and Mr Blip.
