Sunbathing Ladybirds

Beautiful sunny lunchtime. Went out for a walk without my coat for the first time this year. There were ladybirds everywhere I looked (lots of them up to amorous activities). This hedge was full of sunbathing ladybirds and buzzing bees.

Took the remains of the veggie curries home for tea. Had just put rice on to boil when we had a powercut. We ended up having an impromptu candlelit meal. The power went on and off at least four more times during the evening. We left the candles on in the end as it was not worth the hassle of finding the torch and matches everytime we were plunged back into darkness.
