E is for Effort

Our mini break started with a trek up the Goyt Valley near Errwood Reservoir at the start of a nice 5 mile walk that took in the remains of Errwood Hall and the Shrine to Miss Dolores.

Then off to Whitehough to check-in to the Old Hall Inn, a 16th century inn ~ very nice room, excellent food, very friendly staff and a great choice of beer and wine.

We thought we saw Edwina Curry walking past the inn and, on checking later, she does live closeby, at Chinley, so it probably was.
