world in a grain of sand

living in the Archers

I hoped to find a picture today to show village life, and as this has the small child going with mum and friend to collect an older sibling from nursery, a kind neighbour walking someone else's dog, and two representatives of the older generation, all with the pub in the background, I think I've got there.
This is a large, active village, with lots of clubs and societies for all ages and interests. I grew up in the city and I do sometimes miss the hustle and bustle, not to mention the amenities, but on the whole I think my roots have settled into this Oxfordshire soil.Having had children grow up here is a great tie.
