Coves Reservoir

Killing time before visiting my Dad today, I had a wander to enjoy the sunshine.

This is a panorama at Coves Reservoir which forms part of a local nature reserve between Greenock and Gourock.

I used to use this as a route home from school and I would never have known it was a nature reserve had I not visited today and seen a sign. I used to look out over this scene when visiting an aunt who died a couple of years ago. Her house was just behind the location of this photo but this view was to the side of the house so only visible when out at the side of the house.

What a shame it wasn't the view from a window.
