....My cup is running over......
This represents the Quiz teams only chance for silverware this season after our slim chance of finishing second slipped away tonight.
At home to second placed St.Mary's SC.......the most pedantic, time wasting team in the league.
Round 1 Drew 6-6
Round 2 drew 4-4
Total 10-10
Round 3 won7-4
Total 17-14
Round 4 lost 2-8
Total 19-22
Half time break, fag and a good moan about how long they were taking over answers and how one of their team thinks he's a bloody comedian and witters all the way through....even on our questions when we're trying to think.
Rouns 5 won 6-0
Total 25-22
Round 6 the skewed questions appeared again! Lost 6-11
Total 31-33
Round 7 won 3-2
Total 34-35
Final round nip and tuck right up to the final question.... w0n 7-6
Final score....41-41 a draw.
We lost it on the individual questions: I got both of mine on Sub-titled books and Church Services, for 4 points, Phil got one of his two for two points, Lee missed both of his but picked up a bonus for 1 point and Bob blanked on both of his for 0....7 points out of a possible 16! I was not happy!
It's been that sort of day....set off for work expecting to be one teacher down....text arrived ...two down....got to work...walked in to the Head's PA who was just receiveing a phone call ....3 down....got to the labs...phone message from the Tech.... 4 down! I think I've got it sorted....we have a Supply in for the rest of the week.....and she will set her own lessons!
