ANZAC Square Shrine Of Remembrance (Brisbane)

The 18 columns of the Shrine represent the year of peace after World War 1-1918.

With its 'Eternal Flame' held in a continuously lit bronze urn in the middle , the Shrine is a war memorial dedicated to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (Anzacs).

The Shrine of Remembrance is a major Brisbane landmark of cultural, architectural and historic importance and is a key component of the Queensland Heritage listed square and annually hosts ceremonies for ANZAC Day and Armistice Day.

Went into town today to attend a training and on my way back decided to take a quick snap of the war memorial. I was limited by my 50mm hence I only have a close up shot of the this.

Happy mid-week everyone!
