Trip to the beach

Hoover, Ann and I spent a lovely afternoon at South Shields beach today. It's great living only 25 minutes drive from the beach.

On every trip to the beach Hoover has a bizarre desire for me to kick sand in her face. She barks and barks until I kick the sand, then she tries to catch it with her mouth. Very odd, but she seems to like it.

It was a lovely sunny day so we paddled in the sea, threw Hoover's ball, kicked sand, then sat in a nice beer garden.

The ship on the top left of the photo is the DFDS ferry to Amsterdam from North Shields. I can't believe it's three weeks since we were in Amsterdam.

Fingers crossed the nice weather continues on Bank Holiday Monday.
