Plan B!
Set off today to attend the Senior Screen at a Large Shopping Centre by the Sea. Free tea and biccie(s) with your movie! It was a lovely day and I know I shouldn't be inside in a dark cinema on days such as this, but once I've got my slippers on in the evening, I'm loathe to venture out again, so cinema going has to be mostly a daytime activity.
Top front seat of the bus through town - nothing better (well there is, of course, but bear with me) it became obvious that due to the road works everywhere, and indeed people wanting to get on and off the bus at every stop :-) that Lady Thatcher would be carrying on without me (as indeed she always has). I wasn't too fussed. I didn't live in Scotland during her tenure, and so I don't hate her as much as most Scots.
So I hastily reverted to Plan B, which turned out MUCH better.
I hopped off the bus in Henderson Street, and happened upon a lovely wee gallery where I had a good peruse and was sorely tempted. However, after last week's purchase , which used up a year decade lifetime art purchase fund, I restricted myself to the purchase of a mug with a lovely wee portrait of Frida Kahlo on it.
The resident artist, Ritchie Collins, busy working and kindly let me photograph him (and his lovely mirror). I told him about blipfoto, of course, and we may have another convert.
Plan B was turning out better than Plan A, and so it continued, with a yummy toasted scone (which would have been my blip had I not happened upon Ritchie) and Very Passable coffee in a nearby cafe (which of course had the obligatory road works going outside).
Came home to do my blip, as I'm meeting some ex-colleagues for a coffee wine after work (theirs) and so my fingers may not be working properly later.
