I've had quite a stressful week on placement due to finishing on the 21st. I've applied for one job so far due to my impending graduation and despite a massive malfunction on Word 2007 not saving an application form I spent 4 hours slaving over, I had to do a super fast new version in about an hour and surprisingly have an interview next week.
Part of me has my fingers crossed that I get the job, but the other part of me is trying to reassure myself that any experience of job interviews in a good thing. My past job interviews have not exactly been realistic of the real world as I come from a small town and the jobs that I have previously had were local therefore I generally knew someone on the pannel. This would mean that I was more relaxed and more myself in the interview. I have also had part time job interviews in Edinburgh which were successful, but there was never the same pressure as now where I need to prove that I have learned something over the past 4 years at uni!
In preparing for the interview next week, I took a good hard look at myself in the mirror this morning and decided that it was time for a change. At the start of the year I did what most people do ... started going to the gym and watched what I ate. I was doing really well and lost about a stone in weight and was feeling great. Somehow in the stress of the past few weeks due to a combination of placement and personal things, I've not been looking after myself as well. Today marks a change.
I have chosen this picture of raspberries and blueberries as my tasty snack alternative to a bar of galaxy chocolate. Its full of flavour, vitamins, and reminds me of spring which is just around the corner.
I have three and a half months until graduation day where I hope the pictures will reflect a happy, healthy, successful young woman with the people she loves around her.
