Brimstone and...

...Fire?

I think (but am not 100% certain) that this is a brimstone butterfly?

We've spent the day in the garden today, and I've been dashing in and out with the camera for a host of sunny garden snaps of hoverflies (ok, one) MILLIONS of ladybirds, a bee, shield bugs and a couple of spiders.
All of which were blippable. But because I've never captured a one of these before AND it's on the same image as two ladybirds (one is underneath the other, don't ask!) this one won the day, despite it not being a fabulous one. I stalked it so anxiously I'm amazed I managed a capture at all!

And I'm full of gratitude for everyone who commented on my 500th, which slipped past unnoticed by me, so I had to go back and edit! AND I further confused the issue by back-blipping on the same day! Thank you so much! I shall attempt individual thanks, but a visit to family means it might not be today!

In a bout of usefulness I've hoovered up many leaves. Anticipate aches tomorrow!
