Necropolis
Sunny first thing but by the time we got out it was once again dull and grey. Went into a quieter part of Glasgow than my blip for Friday and walked up to the Necropolis. It is a graveyard built on a small hill made by volcanic activity. It has lots of very interesting graves and many that are very ornate.
It is also a haven for many flora and fauna. Didn't see any of the roe deer or hares or many of the birds today and it is too early for the species of butterflies and hover flies that inhabit it.
Off now to pack for my short trip - Oban by train tomorrow and ferry to Mull on Tuesday. Hope for lovely views and sightings of birds, but with the grey weather lately I may have to organise another trip!
