quite a day when Valain comes to stay

Quite a day today. This morning we learned of the passing of a legend in the Army Cadets, very suddenly. She touched a great many lives but unfortunately no one was there for her at the end which is very sad indeed. I had coffee with a friend in the morning at the Lighthouse which is a fantastic meeting place beside our church. I inadvertently became the Clerk to our Church's Congregational Board. More coffee in the afternoon with an injured friend who is having a hard time, then Ella brought home her friend Valain from school for a sleep over. Each child takes a turn to bring the African doll home, show her their lives, then write a story from Valain's perspective about the visit. She took her to Girls Brigade, what with it being Tuesday. A nice day of spring weather on which many things collided.
