Sunset at speed
The view this evening from the carriage of my East Coast express from Edinburgh to London (I boarded at Durham).
As we crossed the border from Lincolnshire into Cambridgeshire the sun was just setting casting some wonderful colours into the sky. One of those days you wish you had a DSLR and a nice stable tripod to soak up the light. All I had was an iPhone and a 125mph train to "balance" it on. Still - I liked the outcome despite the poor focus, huge amount of noise and the fact that because the scenery was moving past very fast, I had only *some* say in the framing.
Regardless of that, it was the image that summed up my day because I spent most of it on the train. It's the best way to travel you know - I couldn't have taken this if I was driving.... officer.
Cropped on PC to remove overhead lines.
