The Green Man

I had to take my car to the garage today to get some new tyres fitted and also to see if it was possible to get my wing mirror repaired which some buffoon smashed off! Why do these things always happen when you're not around to witness them? Anyway the bad news is it cannot be repaired but the good news is I've managed to source one on ebay for a fraction of the price. I could have still done without the expense though.

Today's shot is part of a large totem pole which I drove past on the way to the garage. It's located around the Nettlesworth area of County Durham. I don't know why but I've always been intrigued by this leafy character.
