Fish, no Chips

I took Ollie for a walk on the beach at Opito Bay today, about an hour before low tide. This fish was so well camouflaged I couldn't tell what Ollie was sniffing at until I got close. I think it is a Monkfish, and it was still alive, making a cough like noise when I touched it. The wate was only a couple of feet away so I picked it up, with difficulty, andput it back. It floated for short time and then I watched it swim away.
We didn't have our usual Friday fish and chips tonight
