The Street

Photo taken from halfway along the massive long atrium that divides the Friends Life Centre in two. It really gives the building an open and airy feel. It's known as 'The Street' and even has real trees growing in those humongous pots. There are also shops and a Costa Coffee. I really like it. What a contrast to the 1960's block design of the Prudential building at Craigforth. And although Standard Life House has a great location in Edinburgh, this building is nicer.

I Skyped home tonight and being able to see Anne and Orla in the living room really makes me feel like I'm there. Orla showed me some dancing and how she can hop on one leg and we pulled funny faces at each other. I'm so glad of Skype.
