My handmade hat and handwarmers.

I have been knitting scarves for a Christian charity that sends clothing and food to Romanian orphanages.
Then they recently closed their shop. Due to the economic climate, they were down on support and donations weren't coming in.

So being fond of knitting, I joined the Knit and Natter group, who meet in our library, in an attempt to learn from the more experienced adventurous knitters.They are much more skilled than I am but eager to show new people what to do. I can now cast on using the thumb method!
It is good fun, and I have knitted these turquoise hand warmers and hat in a simple rib pattern.
